Presented by the UCI Center for Statistical Consulting A Short Course for UCI Researchers Getting Started with SAS Statistical Software
Five Mornings (8:30am - 12:30pm):
Daily Schedule: Course Description: This course provides an introduction to the basic elements of SAS enabling participants to begin using this program package for data entry, data management, and statistical analysis. Each participant will receive a carefully selected subset of SAS documentation and a brief primer that provides general ideas about how the software system is organized as well as many tips for using SAS. The course will familiarize participants with the contents of these books so that they will support the use of SAS well beyond the end of the class. Because the University of California SAS site license makes it affordable, all UCI employees will be encouraged to acquire SAS for their personal computers: By using their personal computers to practice using SAS during the week of the class, participants will be better prepared to use SAS thereafter.
